Science, Ethics and Communication: A panel discussion on ethics in science

This panel seeks to bring ethical dilemmas in academia to the forefront by facilitating a discussion between researchers from diverse fields and ethics committee experts. We invite all university members, both students and academics, to engage in a discussion of key questions such as:

  • What does it mean to be ethical in science?
  • How do you establish a good relationship with your supervisor and peers?
  • How do you begin an honest and transparent collaboration in research?
  • How do you share credit for research?
  • How do you make sure that nobody is exploited?
  • Who to speak with for advice about responsible conduct of research?
  • How do you be a good leader and a good team member at the same time?
  • What responsibility do scientists have towards the public?
