This event will be a panel discussion on the importance of community involvement in research and is hosted by the Consumer and Community Health Research Network (CCHRN) which is now part of the Western Australian Health Translation Network (WAHTN).
The event will comprise Anne McKenzie (Head of CCHRN) speaking on the structure of the network and ways for consumers and community members to become involved in research; researchers from the School of Population and Global Health presenting one of their research projects and how this involves consumers and the community; and consumers who have been involved in research and will discuss what role they played.
Following the brief overviews, the audience will be invited to participate in a Q&A to all members of the panel.
