Dr Susan Young is Chair of the School of Allied Health Research Committee and a member of the Division of Social work and Social Policy where she has taught and researched for over 20 years.
Her primary research interests are community approaches to child welfare and child protection in collaboration with partners from Aotearoa New Zealand and Norway; social workers’ contributions in schools in collaboration with the AASW (WA) School Social Work Practice Group; and families in extreme disadvantage with UWA and NGO partners.
She is Director of the Social Policy Practice and Research Consortium which hosts research scholars and visitors, supports student research projects and undertakes policy projects.
